ABOUT US

"Sanwa Recording Studio" was established as a music recording facility by Sanwa Cine Equipment in Osaka. Catering to all musical genres, the studio is cherished by many as a social hub for the Kansai music community. "A3 Studio" is our flagship facility, capable of handling everything from backing track and full-band recording to overdubbing and mixing. "A4 Studio" is an affordable, compact studio suitable for overdubbing, editing, mixing, and mastering. Conveniently located just two subway stops (or a 10-minute drive) from Shin-Osaka Station, the studio is easily accessible for day trips from Tokyo for recording sessions.

A3 Studio

The flagship A3 Studio boasts a total area of 105 m²—one of the largest in the Kansai region—featuring a live area with a 5.5-meter ceiling and three acoustically "dead" booths. The layout ensures excellent line-of-sight between booths, facilitating tight, synchronized rhythm section recordings.
Additionally, the control room offers an unobstructed view, enhancing communication with performers and promoting an efficient workflow.

A3 Studio Session Concept

■ Pops & Rock

This is a basic example of rhythm recording. By using separate booths for guitar and bass amplifiers, and positioning the musicians outside the booths, communication between band members can be ensured.

■ Jazz

By utilizing an area with a 5.5-meter-high ceiling, we can achieve natural, pristine recordings. We intentionally avoid using isolation booths, allowing instrument sounds to blend within the same space to capture a highly natural acoustic sound; By placing only the vocalist in the booth, it becomes possible to create more intricate works.

■ Chorus

By arranging the choir above and below the piano, it is possible to record a chorus of up to approximately 36 people (or up to about 25 people when using earphones to monitor the backing track).

■ Japanese Folk songs

Removing the wall of the piano booth creates an elongated space. Depending on the instrument layout, it is possible to record percussion and other instruments without separating them into booths.

■ Shigin

For *shigin* (traditional Japanese vocal poetry) recordings—where the "singer's breath" is the very essence of the performance—you can capture superb audio even in a monitoring environment that doesn't use headphones.

■ Orchestra

This is an example of a quartet with 4 rhythm instruments + woodwinds + brass + Latin percussion + strings + keyboard. This is the largest setup our studio has ever had. Communication between booths located far apart can be solved by using monitor cameras.

A4 Studio

Studio A4 is available for services such as dubbing, mixing, editing, and mastering. *Please note that as the studio is located within an office building, recording drums or using guitar and bass amplifiers is not permitted.

*A flat late-night surcharge of ¥10,000 applies if work extends past 11:00 PM.
*Cancellation fees are as follows: 100% for cancellations on the day of or the day before the reservation; 80% up to 2 days prior; 50% up to 3 days prior; and 30% up to 4 days prior.

**As the studio is located in an office building, recording drums or using guitar and bass amplifiers is not permitted.

Location

This recording studio is located a five-minute walk from Nakatsu Station the second stop via subway from JR Shin-Osaka Station.
The studios are situated across two buildings: the Sanwa Toyosaki Building (三和豊崎ビル) and the Sanwa Toyosaki Building No.2 (三和豊崎第2ビル).
Please note that A3 Studio is on the 7th floor of the Main Building, while A4 Studio is on the 4th floor of Building No. 2; be sure to check the location carefully when you arrive.
